Chanan Kessler is a high school teacher in the New York City public school system. His licenses and expertise are in the areas of teaching students with disabilities and Social Studies. He also holds a Masters Degree in Jewish History from the Jewish Theological Seminary in New York as well as a law degree from Golden Gate University in San Francisco. This blog focuses on exploring the family history of his mother, Hilda Kessler, and is dedicated to her memory. Chanan’s maternal grandfather emigrated from Zambrow, Poland, and Chanan is an active member of the United Zembrover Society, an organization of descendants whose ancestors hail from Zambrow. Chanan explores issues of history, memory and connections past and present.
